Paul Mazzio
Paul Mazzio is a busy freelance trumpet player living and working in his home town of Portland, Oregon.
His early training included playing in the Portland Junior Symphony, attending Mt. Hood Community College, and studying trumpet with Fred Sautter. He graduated from the University of North Texas and the University of Southern California Schools of Music.

Paul's professional career led to international tours with the Woody Herman Orchestra and recording artist Delbert McClinton. Paul's recording credits include work with artists ranging from Gino Vannelli to Ben Wolfe and Tom Grant. Recordings >>
Paul has performed live with Tony Bennett, Larry Carlton, The Moody Blues, and numerous national touring Broadway productions. As a musical contractor, Paul has had the good fortune to work with such artists as Terence Blanchard (in photo), Natalie Cole, Dianne Reeves, among others.

Paul currently plays with the Alan Jones Sextet, the Portland Jazz Orchestra, the Lily Wilde Orchestra, Nushooz, and the Swingline Cubs.
He continues to teach privately, and is active as a clinician/adjudicator throughout the Pacific Northwest.
